Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Procurement Manager to join our dynamic team in the e-commerce sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. The role involves collaborating with suppliers, internal teams, and stakeholders to optimize procurement processes and drive overall business success. 

Strategic Sourcing:

  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies aligned with the company's objectives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability criteria.

Supplier Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate and manage strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the availability of high-quality products and services.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions to achieve favorable agreements for the company.

Product Selection:

  • Analyze market demand and customer preferences to inform product selection.
  • Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to understand customer feedback and market trends.
  • Identify new and innovative products that align with our brand and target audience.

Cost Management:

  • Monitor market trends, analyze pricing, and negotiate competitive terms to control costs.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising product or service quality.

Supply Chain Management:

  • Oversee the end-to-end supply chain process, from product sourcing to delivery.
  • Collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams to optimize inventory levels and ensure timely order fulfillment.

Procurement Process Optimization:

  • Streamline and optimize procurement processes to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times.
  • Implement best practices for procurement, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.

Inventory Management:

  • Collaborate with the inventory and logistics teams to manage stock levels and minimize excess inventory.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate replenishment of inventory to meet customer demand.

Risk Management:

  • Assess and mitigate risks related to the procurement process, including supply chain disruptions and supplier performance issues.
  • Develop contingency plans to address potential challenges.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Utilize data analytics to assess supplier performance, track key procurement metrics, and generate reports for management.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on procurement analytics.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
  • Proven experience as a Procurement Manager in an e-commerce or retail in US environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain supplier relationships.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices and industry trends.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with procurement software and tools.
