Job Description
Meat and poultry processing plants must meet stringent standards to ensure that the final product is safe for consumers
For the Health and Safety, your day-to-day duties could include:
- Checking slaughterhouse/quarry, buildings and the environment.
- Investigating accidents and complaints.
- Writing reports and making recommendations.
- Giving evidence.
- Make recommendations for possible adjustments in methods and procedures to increase safety and aircraft reliability.
For the Environment, Food, your day-to-day duties could include:
- Collecting and analyzing data.
- Checking record keeping on farms.
- Investigating animal welfare concerns.
- Planning the control and prevention of animal and poultry disease.
For food assurance inspection, your day-to-day duties could include checking:
- Ensures compliance to ISO, Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
- Perform job specific tasks in compliance with applicable company policies, procedures, Regulations, International Standards, and Standard Operating Procedures.
- The working environmental impact of farming techniques.
- Animal feed and the health & welfare of livestock.
- Livestock shelters are safe and the right size.
- Animal identification and veterinary treatments.
- Record keeping and documentation.
- Performs QC review activities, and Assists with internal audits, as requested.
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Agriculture / science
- Experience from 2 to 4 years
