About the Job
  • We are now looking for a Senior Solution Architect, who will be responsible for analysing, designing and developing commercially viable end-to-end technical solutions for the customers.
  • In this role, you will also be accountable for providing profitable business for Ericsson by translating customer needs, and technology opportunities into detailed technical offering, solutions and proposals.
  • This role will be part of Solution Area BSS (Business Support System) in Market Area Middle east and Africa.
  • The Senior Solution Architect is expected to Lead BSS solution sales & delivery for a respective Key Account along with KA Digital Services Head and Account Manager.
  • The Senior Solution Architect supports the KAM/AM & KA Digital Service Head with extensive telecom and BSS business knowledge and by taking the customer solution responsible whenever required, driving customer dialogues to grow the business and to maintain solution delivery aligned to the customer relationship.
  • The Senior Solution Architect drives solution definition, design and implementation. He is expected to engage the customers with a consultative approach identifying their business needs, areas of improvement and come out with a solution approach to address the above.

Responsibilities

  • Stay abreast of on new technology/technical areas and share information about solution to enable customer competence build
  • Accountable & Responsible for Business Support Systems Solutions/Products Sales & Delivery within respective Key Account
  • Assume CSR (customer solution responsible) role or Lead Solution Architect within Sales & Delivery Life Cycle of projects/programs
  • Drive business strategy creation and implementation for end-to-end Solutions Sales & delivery Program for a specific customer.
  • Define and manage the end to end (E2E) Solutions offerings, including standard Ericsson BSS Portfolio and qualified 3PP (Third Party Publishing) solutions/services partners.
  • Drive 3PP (Third Party Publishing) s evaluations, qualifications and ‘go-to-market’ solutions packaging in order to complete/expand End to End Solutions offerings to maintain relevance in the marketplace.
  • Team with the KAM/AM organization to identify, plan and manage sales engagements for qualified key opportunities for assigned domains.
  • Lead respective Domain and Technology Integration Solution Architects within Sales and Delivery cycles for Key Account
  • Manage opportunities pipeline for end to end(E2E) Solutions.
  • Create and secure quality customer proposals including technical and project costing and pricing for SDP2 during assigned sales engagements, handover during SDP-3 and manages quality project deliveries by the BSS unit between SDP-3 and SDP-4.
  • Be the prime interface to support assigned End to End Solutions sales & delivery for Customer Unit Digital Services Head and KAMs, in driving market introductions, management and sales support.
  • Develop UM (Utilization Management) improvement plans through effective and smart utilization of technical teams & technologies
  • Customer Escalation point for Solution respective manners within Key Accounts.

People Management

  • Effectively lead and manage an assigned Architecture team to support end-to-end program sales and delivery engagements.
  • Develop/Coach and support the Market Area teams towards a pro-active and high-performing program sales & delivery culture through a strong focus on customers, performance measures, best-practices, innovation, quality and knowledge-sharing.
  • Foster an environment in the team that embraces teamwork, innovation and knowledge-sharing/reuse through effective execution of solution sales training, mentorship and cross-collaborations.
Job Requirements

Such Programs will require in depth knowledge about:

  • Digital Services Transformation Programs, Roadmaps and Strategy
  • Digital Customer Journeys
  • Business Support System (BSS) modernization, transformation and consolidation (CRM, Charging, Billing, Convergence, Order, Management, PLM, CPQ etc.)
  • Revenue management, Network Management, Revenue Assurance, Fraud Management programs.
  • Digital Services Telco industry standard models and frameworks (eTOM, TOGAF, etc.)
  • Business Process Consulting
  • End-to-End Systems Integrations of Business support system including SOA/EAI.

Key Qualifications

  • Minimum B.Sc. Degree in related disciplines with 10 or more years of relevant experience in telecom/IT information systems consulting, pre-sales and solution implementations.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of telecom concept, processes and solutions.
  • Good understanding of service provider’s business and information systems.
  • Domain experience: area of expertise – Business Support Systems, in specific Charging System.
  • Proven experience in leading consulting, pre-sales and solutions implementation of end to end telecom business solutions.
  • Exposure to Ericsson Sales Process and PROPS-C to manage complex Digital Services Project sales engagements and solutions partner qualifications and management is an advantage.
  • Consultative behaviour, business-driven and self-motivated.
  • Excellent people & customer management skills.
  • Fluent in written and oral English communications.
  • Computer and business software tools (MS Office, WBS, ECP, Verdi, and CAST and Project Sales Toolbox).

Additional Requirements

  • Senior Solution Architect or CSI PD Certification is preferred.
  • Technology certifications are addons (eTOM, TOGAF, ITIL)
