Job Description
- Has a minimum of fifteen (15) years of safety/operational experience in heavy construction and industrial projects.
- Degree in engineering, safety engineering, industrial hygiene, or environmental science, or in a related field is preferred but not mandatory
- Must have knowledge or training in the following: occupational health, safety and environmental compliance with applicable industry, governmental and/or international standards
- Must have demonstrated knowledge of delivering hands-on health, safety, and environmental training
- Must have the ability to assist with developing, implementing and coordinating comprehensive health and safety programs.
- Must possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written along with Strong PC skills in Microsoft
- Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Must possess the ability to provide/demonstrate supervisory and leadership skills required to provide a consistent safety message among a diverse work group and lead and direct teams and/or committees.
- Must be able to independently interpret, evaluate, select and apply Saudi Aramco safety standards and guidelines to specific situations.
- Must be able to provide technical leadership where work results are considered as authoritative and are normally accepted without significant change.
- Must be able to identify and ask for assistance when standards and guidelines are insufficient to resolve highly complex or unusual work problems.
- Must be able to facilitate and diffuse difficult or controversial situations where there is disagreement over the interpretation and/or non-application of safety standards.
- Previous Saudi Aramco experience is preferred.
- Candidates shall be fluent in written and spoken English, in excellent physical condition and have a driving license.
