Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES/ ACCOUNTABILITIES : Reporting to the CEO/General Manager his primary responsibility will focus on the smooth, effective and result-oriented operation of the Finance Department; the incumbent's responsibilities will focus on the supervision of the Accounting function, the Budgeting function, the Reporting function and oversight of taxation issues. In parallel, he/she should have an active role in the business overall per se.
Specifically, his/hers responsibilities and accountabilities will include the following:
- To adhere to the Management's financial policies and strategy.
- To ensure timely issuance of the policy-indicated and otherwise requested reports.
- To ensure adequate preparation and timely availability of the Company's annual budget (and Strategic Plans) by coordinating the inputs of all Departments concerned.
- To ensure, improve, implement and supervise adequate internal audit procedures.
- To take the necessary initiatives in order to ensure optimization of Cash-Management.
- To maintain regular contacts and good rapport with the Company's banks.
- To direct and supervise collection of receivables, and, make company payments on time.
- To adequately manage, lead and guide his subordinates ensuring the smooth function of each person and of his Financial Department.
- To delegate authority to subordinate(s) such that to enable them to satisfactorily achieve their positions' objectives.
- To regularly liaise with the General Manager and the aiming at controlling and reviewing Company performance, so that corrective actions (if needed) may be taken in an adequate and timely manner.
- To ensure adequate and timely general ledger maintenance/processing, and, to ensure reconciliation between books of prime entry and general ledger.
- To ensure timely preparation and availability of the Budgets by closely cooperating with all Departments and mobilizing all resources available.
- To submit timely, accurate, valid and reliable reports as per Company policy.
- To ensure that the submitted reports are accompanied by the necessary recommendations and indicated actions particularly with regard to major variations from Budgets and/or Company's policies; this will involve alerting management to possible and potential positive/negative impacts on P&L, costs, forecasting, etc.
Job Requirements
- EDUCATION : University level, preferably in Finnance/Accounting.
- An MBA will be considered a plus.
- FOREIGN LANGUAGES : English
- AGE : About 35-40 years old
- Mature, self confident, self-motivated, open-minded, result-oriented, leadership skills.
- Able to efficiently establish an appropriate course of action for self and/or other to accomplish the Department's and the Company's goals
- Able to learn and remain effective within a changing environment, such as when faced with new tasks, responsibilities or people.
- Effectiveness in seeking and recognizing pertinent data/information, and, identifying problems and providing solutions.
