Job Description
JOB Summary:
Responsible in the preparation of material take-off, material purchase requisition, material allocation, and constant coordination with concerned departments such as Projects, Procurement, Planning, and Store in order to realize Material Control’s desired targets.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepares material take-off as per required in the client drawing using X-Steel (Tekla Software) to ensures that an accurate material description, length, total quantity, specifications, structure number, total weight are entered into the material-take-off (MTO) database.
- Prepare material allocation based on the shop drawing and ensure accurate allocation is carried out from stock or through purchase requisition.
- Prepares purchase requisition (PR) through ERP system and constantly follows up to ensure that requested materials are purchased within the deadline.
- Identify the material from stock which can be utilized in the project and coordinate with Projects/Client for any clarification along with raising a request for information.
- Identify the requirements in the event of any variation against the client drawing and initiate the process for additional and redundant material in VCR form for additional material and man-hours. Coordinate with Project and Finance for further handling.
- Interfaces with Projects, Procurement, and Store to ensure availability of allocated materials as per raw material requisition (RMR) and maintain records of material requirement and issuance per job request.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Civil Engineer.
- At least 5 years of experience.
- Steel background is preferred.
- Professional usage of Tekla Program is a must.
- Revit usage is an advantage.
- Dedicated person with high communication skills.
