Job Description

Exciting career opportunity in the Finance function, in the capacity of Senior Tax Analyst; based in Cairo BU, Egypt.

The main purpose of the role is to Ensure the business transactions are complied with the tax laws and regulations , tax return preparing , monitor tax payments calendar ,support tax audit requests (income tax – local WHT – WHT on Offshore , WHT on dividend) , regional tax reporting.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Implement an effective system to monitor the tax calendar, including all tax filing, tax payments, to ensure compliance with Egyptian tax authority’s dates.
  2. Assist in Egypt - Morocco - Lebanon tax laws and regulations compliance.
  3. Provide the tax inspector with the appropriate documents and analysis needed for the inspection process (income tax – local WHT – WHT on Offshore, WHT on dividend).
  4. Attend the tax audit meetings.
  5. Preparing annual income tax return.
  6. Ensure the deductibility of company expenses.
  7. Examine records of departments to ensure proper recording of transactions and compliance with applicable laws, makes recommendations
  8. Reviewing quarterly local WHT calculation/ payments/forms to ensure correctness.
  9. Reviewing Offshore WHT calculations/payments/forms and submitting to the tax authority.
  10. Ensure the application of Transfer Pricing rules and handling the related requirements with tax authority.
  11. Working on regional tax requests.
  12. Responding to business tax advisory of other departments.
  13. Tax authority communications
Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • 5 to 7 years of tax experience in big 4 audit firms or Multinational companies in the same position.
  • Good user of MSO and SAP (is preferable)
  • Fluency in English & Arabic.
  • Proficiency in MS office.
  • Experience of working in a multicultural teams and environment.
  • Team Player; ability to support and lead to achieve common goals.
  • Strong Communication and Presentation skills.
  • Problem solving: Proactive and resourceful in solving problems, offering innovative and practical solutions in dynamic environment.
