Job Description
Our engineering team at Syarah is on the lookout for a Sr Full stack Engineer to join our dynamic team. Building the backbone that powers up our platform
Duties:
- As a Sr Full stack, you will start with the business and operations teams to develop, enhance and improve existing functionalities on several areas of the business, such as:
- Our search functionality.
- Day2Day listing creation, attribution and category management.
- Integrations with business and local partners.
- Mobile API enhancements.
- Numbering service, tracking, analytics and KPIs implementations.
- Technology documentation.
- Conducting smoke & integration tests, going through our critical areas & testing plan.
- Meeting with stakeholders and joining product tear down sessions to develop a better understanding of the business and how the market operates and develops.
- Moving forward, you will also learn from the product engineering team, getting the needed exposure to the latest technologies and trends and further develop and expand your skills set.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years of experience Solid understanding of computer science and network fundamentals (operating system, http, basic algorithms, Database).
- Backend development using scripting languages such as python or php (preferably with a modern framework).
- Yii2 framework knowledge i s a big plus.
- Understanding/expertise of frontend technologies and scripting (html, javascript, css), having a prior expertise in frontend frameworks and libraries would be plus.
- Eagerness to learn and develop, you must demonstrate passion in software development.
- Linux & shell scripting is a big plus
- Good understanding of Git and general repo management technologies
- Enjoys technical challenges and is capable of proposing and evaluating a solution against requirements
- Committed to the highest levels of quality, demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
- Good written and verbal communication skills
