Job Description
- Under the supervision and direction of the DTP Section Head, the DTP
specialist will be assigned to specific project/s to work under direct work /
files allocation of its Project Manager/s or Coordinator/s. - The DTP specialist would be responsible of carrying the DTP assignments
(Formatting for Help or Documentation documents) with the quality
expected according to the company QA system and within time agreed upon
with the Project Manager / Coordinator and DTP Section Head - Respond to all the Project Manager(s) / Coordinator(s) assignments,
instructions, and work orders to finish DTP work for the concerned project/s,
and fulfill any special requests / work procedures / forms to be filled which
may be set specially for certain projects or by the Project Manager for
specific purposes. - Be aware of and understand the company /or/ special clients Formatting
guidelines and consistency apply it in the project’s assignments and
communicate with other DTP specialist/s working in the same project to get
always consistent all the finished work for the concerned project. - Using professionally any / all the Desktop Publishing tools / programs
possible in formatting the files and creating the styles required for the project
files. - Must review the files they work on before passing it to the DTP Reviewer for
final QA assessment that would include following any checklist required for
self-proof the work being done. - Each DTP specialist must exert effort in improving their capability and usability skills for the different DTP software and related tools, and be aware
that this will contribute of their general annual Performance Appraisals.
Job Requirements
Required Education & Technical Skills
Technical skills:
- Using professionally all the Desktop Publishing tools / programs.
- Adobe Indesign
- Quark Express
- Photoshop
- Familiar with Flash tool
- Good experience on Windows and Mac environment
- Good experience in formatting the files and creating the styles required for the project files.
Educational background:
- Bachelor degree in Computer Sciences and Engineering or relevant specialization
