Job Description
- Execute and manage the production program according to production plan.
- Draft a timescale for the job.
- Estimate costs and set the quality standards.
- Plan and manage production staff.
- Measure and verify production resource consumption rates (materials, people, and services) with the aim of continued improvement and optimization.
- Plan the technical interventions (e.g. orders changes, time changes) and maintenance of machinery, equipment and utilities.
- Guarantee production line efficiency and product quality, keeping stable all fixed process parameters.
- Guarantee and verify compliance to all workplace health, safety and environmental norms, applying ‘best practices’ to ensure that work areas are kept clean, orderly and secure.
- Manage the correct maintenance of machinery and equipment.
- Plan, coordinate and guide technical activities for optimizing facilities and processes.
- Coordinate and supervise the work of technicians and technologists, managing intervention priorities and supporting the professional development of technical employees, including proposing relevant training opportunities.
- Maintain document archives (technical documents, manuals and dossiers on retrofits or other interventions) regarding machinery and equipment.
- Verify that machinery, equipment and utilities conform to all applicable material and safety norms.
- Guarantee support and cooperation in optimizing production processes, industrialization (including the installation of new lines) or the standardization of practices. Contribute towards eliminating workplace health and safety risks.
- Coordinate the activity of new materials, products and technologies.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree of engineering (production section is preferred).
- Experience from 8 - 10 years in the same field.
- Experience in sheet metal works industry is a must.
- Good knowledge of written and spoken English
- Computer skills: Windows applications, knowledge of data management systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012).
- Thorough and tacit knowledge of the technologies and productive processes of the production site
- Knowledge of the applicable norms regarding industry health, safety and environment. Knowledge of the general principles of HACCP is an advantage
- Computer skills: Windows applications, knowledge of project management software. Basic knowledge of CAD 2D/3D and solid work software.
- Good knowledge of the electrical/electronic, mechanic and hydraulic fields
- Problem-solving attitude and capable to read and predict emerging problems, transcending – if necessary – common rules of thumb. Able to react effectively, rationally and calmly to unplanned events. Stress tolerant.
