Role Overview
- We’re seeking a seasoned Signage Designer & Structural Engineer who can work remotely (with occasional travel to Dubai for site surveys or client meetings) to own our end-to-end signage projects—combining creative design with engineering rigor to ensure every installation is visually stunning, safe and code-compliant.
Key Responsibilities
- Creative & Technical Design
- Develop 2D/3D signage concepts, photorealistic renders and layout files (Illustrator, Photoshop, SketchUp)
- Produce permit-ready CAD/Revit drawings: elevations, plans, detailed sections
- Structural Engineering
- Perform wind-load and structural calculations per UAE codes
- Size framing members (steel/aluminum), base plates, anchor designs
- Specify materials (ACP vs. PVC backing, corrosion protection)
- Permit Coordination
- Prepare submission packages for Dubai Municipality, RTA & Civil Defense
- Liaise via client portals; track NOC, permit application and approvals
- Installation Support & Documentation
- Create shop drawings and installation sequence diagrams
- Offer remote site-survey guidance; occasional on-site visits to verify conditions
- Collaboration & Mentorship
- Present designs and technical solutions to clients and internal teams
- Mentor junior designers/engineers on best practices and standards
Internship Requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Experience
- Signage/outdoor advertising combining design and structural roles
- Proven track record with DM/RTA permit-approved projects
- Technical Skills
- AutoCAD, Revit (or SolidWorks) & structural analysis software (e.g., RFEM)
- Adobe Creative Suite; 3D tools (SketchUp, 3ds Max, Lumion)
- Qualifications
- Degree in Structural Engineering, Architecture or Industrial Design
- Attributes
- Strong visual sensibility and attention to detail
- Excellent remote communication and project-management skills
