About the Internship

Job Description:

  • Identifying new sales leads
  • Pitching products and/or services
  • Maintaining fruitful relationships with existing customers
  • Researching organizations and individuals online to identify new leads and potential new markets
  • Researching the needs of other companies and learning who makes decisions about purchasing
  • Contacting potential clients via email or phone to establish report and set up meetings
  • Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives
  • Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events
  • Preparing PowerPoint presentations and sales displays
  • Contacting clients to inform them about new developments in the company’s products
  • Developing quotes and proposals
  • Negotiating and renegotiating by phone, email, and in-person
  • Developing sales goals for the team and ensuring they are met

The intern will learn:

Internship Requirements
  • To have or pursuing a degree in Sales, Marketing, Communications, Finance or related field.
  • Flexible and creative
  • Intelligent, motivated and competitive with a “roll-up-the-sleeves” and “get-the-job-done” attitude
  • Ability to develop productive relationships and communicate effectively with management, peers, plant personnel, suppliers and customers.
  • Outgoing and personable with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational, written and oral communication, listening and presentation skills.
  • Must be able to communicate in a variety of environments.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage time and meet deadlines.
  • Receptive to constructive criticism.
  • Self-motivated, desire to learn independently.
  • A desire for a long-term career in marketing or sales.
  • Able and willing to learn and position multiple product offerings.
