Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Purchasing Specialist to join our team. The Purchasing Specialist will play a crucial role in sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services essential for our manufacturing operations. This role requires a deep understanding of the HVAC industry, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to build and maintain supplier relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best terms and pricing for materials, equipment, and services needed for production.
  • Review and analyze purchase requisitions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications.
  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimal stock levels to support production schedules.
  • Collaborate with the production team to forecast material needs and plan procurement activities accordingly.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and quality of goods.
  • Coordinate with the Quality Control department to ensure purchased materials meet required standards.
  • Implement cost-saving strategies while maintaining product quality and supplier relationships.
  • Prepare and maintain purchasing records, reports, and documentation.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Purchasing Specialist or similar role in the HVAC or manufacturing industry.
  • Deep knowledge of HVAC materials, equipment, and suppliers.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of obtaining favorable terms and pricing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building and maintaining supplier relationships.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP software for purchasing and inventory management.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
  • Certification in Purchasing or Supply Chain Management is a plus.
