About Role:We're seeking an experienced Tax & Customs Accountant to handle financial tasks and tax matters for our company. You'll be in charge of making sure everything related to taxes is done correctly and following the rules. You'll also work with tax authorities and external consultants.Responsibilities:Here are the main things they will be responsible:Make sure taxes are calculated accurately according to the law. Handle tax paperwork and reports. Set up systems to manage tax risks. Talk to tax authorities and help with tax audits. Figure out how much income and deferred taxes we owe. Check that tax information matches our financial records. Make sure we get any refunds we're owed on time. Submit all required VAT returns and documents to tax authorities. Follow VAT rules and policies and organize VAT data. Make sure we pay our VAT bills correctly and on time. Check that our VAT and Customs records match our financial records.Requirements:Here are the qualifications and skills required:A degree in accounting, commerce, or a related field, with a professional tax or VAT certification. At least 5 years of experience in tax work for multinational companies. Good knowledge of VAT and Income Tax rules in the Middle East-Africa region and be good with computers, especially Excel. Able to talk and negotiate well and lead effectively when dealing with tax authorities and consultants. Must keep company information private and follow safety rules. Good at analyzing data and solving problems. Work well in a team, be committed, and stay motivated. Good at talking to people and writing clearly.
