A neonatologist is a doctor who works with infants to treat breathing problems, birth defects, or infections.

Job Description

• ● Care for infants’ nutrition to ensure optimal growth and development, and find alternative ways to feed infants who struggle with feeding
• ● Assist with medications and treat infants born with infections
• ● Perform heart-lung bypass procedures for infants with breathing difficulties due to underdeveloped or damaged hearts and lungs
• ● Provide support to parents and help them to understand and make decisions regarding their infant’s condition and treatment
• ● Ensure parents have sufficient opportunities to bond with their infants
• ● Conduct research and clinical trials

Job Requirements

• ● Proven work experience as a Neonatologist or similar role
• ● A willingness to work long hours and remain on-call for emergency situations
• ● The ability to work under pressure and stress
• ● Strong communication skills and patience and empathy towards patients and their families
• ● Strong dedication and motivation for helping newborn infants
• ● Relevant training and/or certifications as a Neonatologist
