Fulbright Egyptian Student Program – Visiting Student Researcher

Provides fully-funded grants for students registered in Ph.D. programs at universities in Egypt to collect data and/or conduct research for six to nine months in the U.S.
The Fulbright Egyptian Student Program seeks applicants that have developed a sense of personal integrity and are original thinkers. Copying someone else’s writing, whether from the Internet, from a book or from a friend is considered plagiarism. Any quoted words or sentences should include a citation. An applicant who is found to have plagiarized in any form (including unintentional or accidental plagiarism) in his or her application will be disqualified. All content in applications must be the applicant’s original contribution and his/her own intellectual property. Having someone else write or contribute to the writing of an individual’s application, either fully or partially, does not uphold the standards of integrity expected of Fulbrighters and may result in the ineligibility of your application.

ELIGIBILITIES

• Age: 25 - 35, 36 - 60
• Gender: Male, Female
• Nationality: Egypt (U.S. citizens and green card holders and applicants are not eligible to apply)
• Required languages: English (Level: V.good)
• Required experience: List your current and any relevant previous professional experience.
• Specific requirements: Doctorate Student (Applicants must be registered in a doctoral degree program at a university in Egypt)
• Have Master Degree (Master’s degree with a strong academic record. )

When composing a curriculum vitae/resume, it is important to include: Education (universities attended, degrees earned and dates received) Professional positions held Courses taught and other services provided to students and the home institution Publications (provide full citations and list them starting with the most recent) Other professional activities, such as workshops, seminars and consultations Membership and activities in professional associations Professional honors, awards and fellowships Community service upload a document that does not exceed four (4) pages

• Recommendation letter/Reference Letter: Three Recommendations an email with instructions on completing the online recommendation will be sent to your recommender.

• Valid passport: Scanned copy of the original valid National ID

• Official Transcript: Copies of certificates and transcripts for all post-secondary degrees in English

Scholarships and Fellowships: List scholarships and/or fellowships you currently or previously received. Academic Honors and Prizes: Include any academic honors and/or prizes that you have received. Published Books, Articles, and/or Theses: List any books, articles, or theses published by you, especially in your proposed field of study. Teaching Experience Research Membership/Licensing in Professional Organizations describe the area of the field in which you plan to specialize in the United States. describe your future plans.

• Motivation Letter

Write a clear and detailed description of your study/research objectives, and give your reasons for wanting to pursue them․ Be specific about your major field and your specialized interests within this field․ Describe the kind of program you expect to undertake, and explain how your study plan fits in with your previous training and your future objectives․ This statement is an essential part of your application and is required․ Do not mention specific U․S․ universities at which you would like to study․ It is strongly recommended that you upload in PDF format.

• Personal Statement

This personal statement should be a narrative statement describing how you have achieved your current goals․ It should not be a mere listing of facts․ It should include information about your education, practical experience, special interests, and career plans․ Describe any significant factors that have influenced your educational or professional development․ Comment on the number of years of practical experience already completed in the field in which academic work will be done in the U․S․ Do not mention specific U․S․ universities at which you would like to study․ It is strongly recommended that you upload in PDF format.
