Job Description
- Create detailed mechanical drawings, schematics, and specifications using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Ensure that designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Prepare and review technical documents, including project specifications, reports, and proposals.
- Maintain accurate records of design changes and project progress.
- Assist in the selection of materials and components for mechanical systems.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely and cost-effective material acquisition.
- Contribute to the estimation of project costs related to mechanical systems and components.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure that mechanical systems meet specified standards.
- Conduct inspections and tests during the construction and installation phases.
- Stay informed about and ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Obtain necessary permits and approvals for mechanical systems.
Job Requirements
- Proven working experience in mechanical engineering
- Familiarity with 2D or 3D engineering design and manufacturing tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ProE or other)
- Solid understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science, etc.
- strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Additionally, a solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles, codes, and standards is essential for success in this role.
- Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner
- Technical writing skills.
- BSc degree in Engineering
