Job Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Cost Accountant with Giza Power Industry in El Giza.
The Cost Accountant will be responsible for day-to-day cost accounting functions, including maintaining financial records, preparing and analyzing financial statements, and managing journal entries. Additionally, the Cost Accountant will be responsible for providing financial analysis and recommendations to the management team.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor / check the inventory movement, compare the balance enlisted with actual one.
- Prepare budgeting reports (for the company and for each department).
- Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions.
- Collect cost information and maintain an expenses database.
- Prepare (monthly, quarterly and annual) cost forecasts.
- Carrying out cost-volume-profit (CVP) analysis
- Make estimates of new and proposed product costs.
Job Requirements
- 3 -5 years of proven work experience In the Industrial Field
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field
- Solid Experience with Excel - ERP systems is a must ( preferred Quick Box ) .
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and practices
- Proficient in preparing and analyzing financial statements
- Analytical skills with ability to translate complex financial information to non-financial colleagues
- Experience with journal entries and general ledger maintenance
- Strong knowledge of finance principles and financial reporting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
