Job Description

  • Monitoring and overseeing the Management of project costs 
  • Keeping costs within the original contract sum and any agreed additional sums. 
  • Managing change requests based on processes and maintaining control to reduce the financial effects of changes.
  • Adopt Adequate Method(s) to measure Completed Works & Progress reflected on the Cost Loaded Schedule. 
  • Participating in Performance Measurement Analysis & Forecasting of Variance (Magnitude, Causes, Corrective Actions, Cost Recovery Recommendations, etc.). 
  • Participating in Cost Baseline Updates (Benchmarks against Actual Costs, Project Financial Status, etc.). 
  • Participating in Monthly Cost, Budget Reports, Variation Orders, Claims Reports, and Cash Flow & Trend Reports.
  • Assess the cost-effectiveness of products track actual costs relative to budget and report status regularly to ensure costs are in line with forecasts.
  • Investigate and identify cost reduction opportunities through a cost analysis review.
  • Establish cost estimates of processes and tooling costs and review alternatives or put forward recommendations for improvement. 
  • Commercial studies for new contracts and variation orders.

Job Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or architecture is required.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in contracts and cost management within the construction industry or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of contract law, terms, and conditions.
  • Proven experience in cost reporting and Quantity surveying.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of integrity and ethics in handling sensitive and confidential information.
