Job Description

About the role 

The Procurement Specialist plays a crucial role in managing the procurement process within Sylndr. You will be responsible for sourcing and acquiring goods, services, and contracts required by Sylndr to support its operations. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure cost-effective and timely procurement of goods and services.


What You’ll Do ?

Sourcing and Supplier Management:

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, vendors, and contractors.
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and product availability.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns.

Procurement Planning:

  • Collaborate with internal departments to determine procurement needs and requirements.
  • Develop procurement plans and strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Create and manage procurement schedules to ensure timely availability of goods and services.

Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Bidding Process:

  • Prepare and issue RFPs, RFQs (Request for Quotes), and other procurement documents.
  • Evaluate supplier proposals and bids, considering factors such as cost, quality, and compliance.
  • Participate in supplier selection processes and make recommendations to management.

Contract Negotiation and Management:

  • Negotiate and finalize contracts, ensuring they meet legal and organizational requirements.
  • Collaborate with legal and finance departments to review and approve contract terms.
  • Monitor contract performance, including delivery schedules, pricing, and quality assurance.
  • Manage contract renewals, amendments, and terminations as required.

Purchase Order Processing:

  • Generate and manage purchase orders in accordance with procurement policies and procedures.
  • Ensure accuracy of purchase orders, including quantities, specifications, and pricing.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals for purchase orders.

Supplier Relationship Management:

  • Foster positive relationships with suppliers to promote long-term partnerships.
  • Conduct supplier performance evaluations and provide feedback to suppliers.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve issues, improve processes, and drive continuous improvement.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry trends and regulations.
