The proposed position will be for a member of a managed services technical team, which is responsible for VoIP, functions and services related issues (operations, 2nd and 3rd level support).
The engineer will be working in a group of IT experts locally and within multiple projects to cover the required services functionalities and availability.
Roles and Responsibilities
- This position will require travelling. When not on site, Engineers will be assisting in the development of project plans, designs and documentation for existing and new scopes.
- Plan, deploy, configure, troubleshoot collaboration solutions from the beginning to implementation by collaborating with vendors e.g. Cisco
- Establish a working Cisco UC Manager 10.x VOIP system while keeping in mind client requirements
- Plan, install, configure, examine and maintain Cisco Call Manager products
- Provide on-call operational level support for all facets of Cisco VOIP hardware and software
- Deliver proof of concepts for emerging technologies
- Assist in capacity planning of VOIP equipment and networks
- Provide VOIP architecture and infrastructure designs for data centers and site deployments
- Open TAC cases to rectify user, VOIP or collaboration infrastructure problems
- Write HLD/LLD for new scopes or tenders
- Have extensive knowledge of routing protocols (Static, OSPF, and BGP)
- Design and deploy changes to the configurations of clients as per the applicable change management process.
- Recommend and develop best practices for new locations
- Expertise in developing IPT/ VOIP applications
- Provide support services for SIP Signaling

- Proven track record working with leading unified collaboration systems like Cisco, Avaya

- Experience evaluating, designing, implementing, and managing collaboration infrastructure
- Working knowledge of Secure Real-Time Transport Protocol (SRTP) including associated G.711 and G.729 codecs and Digital Tone Multi Frequency (DTMF)
- Knoledge of third party/open source SIP stacks
- Familiarity with IPSec implementation and troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience with Session Border Controllers and Voice Gateways
- Extensive hands-on experience with dial plans, IVRs, SIP, IAX, RTP, SRTP including TLS, DIDs, codecs and other protocols
- Solid understanding of traditional telephony, PRIs, BRIs, FXO/FXS, circuit-switching, POTS, PSTN, MTSO
- Very good knowledge of protocol and packet analysis
- Solid understanding of OSI model, firewalls, IP routing, IP switching, VLANS, and QOS/COS
- Hands-on experience with network monitoring, network diagnostics, and network analytics tools
- Experienced in virtualization platforms VMWare and Hyper-V
- Strong understanding of NAT traversal for VOIP
- Strong understanding of H.323, MGCP & ISDN
- Connectivity using copper/fiber
- Implement QOS in VOIP networks
- Effective communication and strong analytical skills
- Knowledge of Linux environments e.g. Ubuntu, CentOS and shell/Perl scripting
Job Requirements
- Minimum experience of 8 years in VOIP domain is mandatory
- CCNP Collaboration is Must
- CCIE Collaboration is preferred
