Job Description
- Place outbound calls to customers to discuss overdue accounts and negotiate payment arrangements.
- Use effective communication techniques to persuade customers to make payments or agree to repayment plans.
- Document all communication and payment arrangements accurately in the company's database.
- Follow up with customers on payment promises and escalate cases as necessary.
- Adhere to all relevant laws and regulations governing debt collection practices, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally and courteously.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to resolve complex cases and achieve collection goals.
- Meet or exceed monthly/quarterly collection targets while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures.
Job Requirements
- Previous experience in debt collection, customer service, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed during challenging conversations.
