Job Description
- Oversee daily accounting operations including AP, AR, GL, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare and post journal entries, vendor/customer invoices, and payroll-related records
- Conduct monthly and year-end closings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Ensure proper documentation for purchases, sales, payments, and tax compliance
- Reconcile sub-ledgers and general ledger accounts on a regular basis
- Monitor outstanding receivables and payables and follow up to ensure timely settlement
- Support in budgeting, forecasting, and preparing financial projections
- Prepare statutory tax filings (VAT, WHT, etc.) and assist with audits
- Maintain and archive accurate accounting and tax documentation
- Suggest improvements to accounting workflows and internal controls
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 4+ years of experience in general accounting or related roles
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and Egyptian tax regulations
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and organizational skills
- Proficient in ERP systems (preferably Odoo), Microsoft Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent command of English (spoken and written) is a must
- Familiarity with AR/AP cycles, payroll entries, and financial reporting
- Ability to collaborate across departments and meet strict deadlines
