Job Description

General Information:

  • The medical reviewer shall be in charge of a variety of responsibilities in Caduceus Lane, starting from acting as a medical resource to the company’s Medical Department to providing a significant contribution towards evaluating, critiquing, and communicating important medical and scientific information related to Caduceus Lane spectrum of products and services.

Job Summary:

  • In support of the Caduceus Lane structure, the post holder shall operate as a member of the Tactical Medical team and report directly to the Tactical Medical Team Lead. The post holder will serve as a reviewer for scientific peers and resources within the medical department. They shall work with the department to ensure that specific requirements of content and formatting are met in addition to assisting the Medical Team Lead with the responsibility of administering all medical services provided by the Medical Department.


Medical Team General Responsibilities: 

  • Facilitating peer-to-peer medical and scientific information exchange with key internal stakeholders
  • Handling medical queries received from members and clients
  • Building and maintaining relationships with colleagues
  • Sharing knowledge with other team members.
  • Operating as part of a team to reach common goals.
  • Delivering strategically devised plans of departmental improvement
  • Acts as a medical resource to the company's Medical Department.

Content Creation Responsibilities: 

  • Writing, editing, and/or assisting with online medical and scientific content development
  • Contributing to the creation of research materials for pharmaceutical industry-related news, events, and trends
  • Maintaining consistent corporate language in all published materials while documenting and sustaining corporate style standards
  • Generating original data, which requires strong and extensive medical knowledge according to the briefing provided by the sales team and specified target audience requirements
  • Writing creative, medical messages and medical content (depending on the brief’s requirements) that fit digital and/or print materials
  • Conducting thorough scientific literature research to collect comprehensive medical data on a variety of topics

Reviewing and Validation responsibilities:

  • Providing significant contribution towards the evaluation, validation, critiquing, and communication of important medical and scientific information related to the company products
  • Providing written, unbiased, constructive feedback in a timely manner on the scholarly merits and the scientific value of the work together with the documented basis for the reviewer’s opinion
  • Indicating whether the writing is clear, concise, and relevant in addition to assessing the work’s composition, scientific accuracy, originality, and relevance to the clients’ requirements.
  • Ensuring the produced documents meet the internal SOPs and guidelines
  • Reviewing and evaluating the prepared reports of medical advisory boards and steering committees
  • Disseminating, reviewing, and presenting clinical and scientific data to the target audience
  • Analyzing scientific literature to extract relevant information that serves different marketing objectives across different projects
  • Ensuring high scientific standards for the output produced by the medical department through expert review and feedback mechanisms
  • Answering medical inquiries from external and internal stakeholders and colleagues, and reviewing/approving documents
  • Ensuring proper scientific citations and references across all produced documents

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or medical field (medicine or pharmacy) is mandatory
  • Master's or Ph.D. degree is a plus
  • Previous research activities, manuscript writing, publishing in scientific international journals is a must
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in the clinical research field
