Job Description
- Develop and implement evidence-based literacy programs tailored to diverse student needs across various grade levels.
- Assess students’ reading abilities using standardized tools and design targeted intervention plans.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate literacy best practices into daily instruction.
- Facilitate small group and one-on-one reading sessions to support struggling readers.
- Monitor and track student progress, adjusting instructional approaches as needed.
- Organize and lead professional development workshops focused on literacy and reading strategies.
- Engage with parents and guardians to promote reading at home and share student progress.
- Stay current with the latest research and trends in literacy education and incorporate them into practice.
- Contribute to the development and evaluation of school-wide literacy initiatives and policies.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Literacy, or a related field.
- Proven experience in teaching, literacy coaching, or reading intervention.
- Demonstrated expertise in literacy instruction and assessment.
- Strong understanding of reading development and intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, teachers, and families.
- Ability to analyze student data and use it to inform instruction.
- Experience delivering professional development or coaching to educators.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Willingness to work on-site and collaborate with school staff.
