- Job Summary:
- The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing the company’s accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making. This role involves supervising junior accountants, preparing financial statements, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with local tax regulations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly analytical, and has strong leadership and communication skills.
- Oversee daily accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with accounting standards.
- Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Monitor, analyze, and report financial performance and variances against budget.
- Provide management with insights to support financial planning, forecasting, and decision-making.
- Manage and ensure compliance with local tax laws, audits, and regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and relevant stakeholders.
- Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and standard operating procedures.
- Supervise, mentor, and guide junior accountants and accounting staff.
- Foster a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing accuracy, efficiency, and automation within the finance department.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3 to 6 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Proven experience in preparing and analyzing financial statements.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an office environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
