Role Profile:
The Marketing Operations Manager is responsible for leading, overseeing and developing the marketing team, process and systems in Cairo to ensure the efficient and effective running of Central Marketing operations. This role involves managing marketing technology, data, and analytics to support the marketing team in achieving their goals
As the team lead for Central Marketing in the Cairo and reporting to the Director of Marketing & Performance this individual will be responsible for building and developing the capacity and capability of the Cairo marketing team as well as setting and maintaining the team culture and work environment.
Working closely with the Head of Trafficking, they will co-own the marketing workflow and production process, to coordinate marketing resource within Cairo and Central Marketing to ensure efficient, effective, on-time delivery of marketing campaigns and projects.
Working with other Marketing & eCommerce leaders and teams they will employ and help to evolve the omni-channel operating model, to leverage full-funnel marketing to improve footfall, sessions and sales for stores and eCommerce at the best omni-channel ROI.
They will work with continual focus on the customer, considering how we communicate with different customers audiences, improving how we engage with them and their customer experience, to help drive customer loyalty and growth.
Performance Areas (to include but not limited to):
- People
- Being the visible leader of Central Marketing in the Cairo office to lead the team, set team culture and role-model behaviour
- Work with other Cairo C&T leaders to build and develop the Cairo Alshaya culture
- Lead the day-to-day management of the Cairo Marketing team
- Collaborate with other Central Marketing and Marketing & eCommerce teams to support all marketing and commercial activities
- Recruit, train and support the Cairo Central Marketing Team, with assistance from the Cairo People Team and agency partners
- Marketing Workflow
- Oversee the coordination and successful, on-time delivery of marketing campaigns and projects in Asana, working closely with the Head of Trafficking and Central Marketing leaders
- Ensure the continuous operation of all marketing activities across the Central Marketing Team
- Continuously evaluate and improve the marketing workflow and production process to make more efficient and effective with ways of working, tools and automation
- Marketing Capability
- Work with the Head of Marketing (Central) to audit, maintain and improve marketing platforms and marketing technology to allow marketing teams to work more effectively and efficiently
- Support the billing process for Central Marketing, to receive the maximum rebate on media spend from media partners
- Work with the Head of Marketing (Central) and Media Partners to plan, test and rollout new marketing products and opportunities to improve the overall marketing capability and performance.
- Work with all Central Marketing Leaders and Media Partners to plan and coordinate learning and development programs to train and upskill team members with new marketing opportunities and ways of working.
- Lead the administration processes across all media platforms, including management of user profiles, product feed hygiene, 1st party data feeds and pixel and app management.

- Constantly look for new opportunities and regularly make suggestions as to how things can be improved
- Create opportunities to showcase your expertise internally and externally, to raise the profile of yourself and the Central Marketing team
Job Requirements
Experience:
- Relevant marketing degree or professional qualification
- At least 5 years in marketing, with experience across brand marketing, performance marketing and CRM with direct budget responsibilities in excess of 2m KWD.
- Experience interpreting and leveraging attribution metrics and models to understand and optimise marketing channel mixes.
- Experience working within a hypergrowth environment in fast paced and digitally mature business.
- Fashion, home furnishing and beauty experience
- Experience of MENA markets
Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of marketing operations and processes
- Proficiency in marketing technology and marketing tools
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making
- Strong understanding of all KPIs controlling marketing performance.
- Expertise with enterprise web analytical and data tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Adjust, Firebase, Magento etc.)
- Strong understanding of how to manage and leverage marketing channels individually and as part of a marketing mix to drive revenue and ROI at scale.
- Technical understanding of performance marketing platforms and tools such as Facebook Ads Manager, Google Advertising, Google Marketing Platform, DSPs and the tactics to employ to drive the best performance from them.
- Strong understanding of the concepts of CRM, loyalty, customer acquisition, retention and lifetime value.
