Job Description
We are currently seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Maintenance Engineer to join our team. As a Heavy Equipment Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that all heavy equipment is properly maintained and operates efficiently. This role involves performing routine inspections, identifying and resolving equipment malfunctions, and implementing preventative maintenance procedures to maximize equipment lifespan. The ideal candidate for this position has a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a solid understanding of heavy equipment maintenance protocols.
Job Requirements
- Supervising the preparation of maintenance plans of all types and approving them for all sites within the management.
- Supervising the preparation of operation plans for equipment.
- Responsible for equipment development to address weaknesses and reduce malfunctions.
- Responsible for organizing the work schedule of employees in workshop management, issuing instructions and directives, and assigning tasks to them.
- Supervising maintenance work in all equipment workshops.
- Identifying human resource needs for workshop management.
- Identifying material and equipment needs for workshop management and requesting them from the procurement department.
- Ensuring occupational safety and health conditions for all workers and implementing safety and prevention procedures for maintenance work.
- Submitting periodic and annual reports on achievements, problems, and failures.
- Implementing quality procedures applicable in the company.
- Attending to the morale and psychological well-being (motivation, belonging, combating indifference) of subordinates.
- Evaluating the performance of employees and making necessary recommendations in coordination with the direct supervisor and human resources.
- Working on enhancing the technical and managerial efficiency of subordinates.
- Performing other assigned tasks according to expertise.
- Developing an annual plan for the department and obtaining approval from the direct supervisor.
- Developing a time-bound implementation plan according to each department's needs and monitoring its execution.
- Managing the company's fleet maintenance and work team, organizing and evaluating work and shifts in equipment workshops.
- Generating technical reports for repairs.
- Monitoring company vehicle maintenance at external maintenance centers.
- Providing technical feedback on repair assessments provided by external maintenance centers.
- Developing a spare parts needs plan and monitoring inventory, and issuing purchase requests for required needs in coordination with the direct supervisor and stores.
- Reviewing specific purchase requests.
- Coordinating between different departments to complete maintenance operations.
- Updating new maintenance methods, whether systems or equipment, to ensure efficiency improvement.
- Developing a training and development plan to enhance the competency of employees under their technical and administrative leadership, in coordination with the direct supervisor and human resources.
