Job Description
- Support the planning, execution and delivery of in assurance engagements
- Review accuracy of documentation (narrative, flowcharts)
- Review findings and design gaps identified against best practices
- Ensure audits are completed within the established deadlines
- Handle multiple assignments and lead ad-hoc special audits if required.
- Assess the effectiveness and efficiency of the internal control systems
- Use data analysis in the planning process to provide insights to better design tests to address risks in the process
- Quantify risks to make decisions on the actions to be taken for each risk
- Review of workpapers and reports.
- Assist in preparing reports and schedules that will be delivered to auditees
- Assess the design and operational effectiveness of governance structure against best practices and information from different sources, including internal audit assignments, audits of specific governance processes and findings from external auditors
- Identify opportunities to improve effectiveness and efficiencies of governance framework to address governance risk
- Maintain an educational program to continually develop technical and personal skills
- Understand and follow workplace policies and procedures
- Work effectively as a team member, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication and updating the Internal Audit Manager on progress
- Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel
- Other responsibilities as and when requested by the Internal Audit Manager related to the nature of the job (Such as assistance in Audit Committee presentations, drafting Minutes of Meetings, etc.)
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related Business Management field
- Preference for candidates having CIA, ACA, ACCA, CISA or any other Internal Audit and Risk Management Certification
- Five to Seven years of relevant work experience preferred
- Thorough knowledge of current auditing techniques
- Familiarity with IFRS and IIA standards
- Understanding of risk-based auditing and risk and control strategies
- Have good communication, report writing and computer skills.
- Strong command over the English language, in both speaking and writing.
