Job Description
- Responsible for Basic and detailed design deliverable for Automation scope and emergency cut-off system (ETS)
- Responsible for Basic and detailed design deliverable for traction, intake and distribution substation remote control and monitoring, substation level communication and interface with SCADA.
- Responsible to implement latest standards and technologies, such as IEC 61850 client-server communications, GOOSE messaging, fibre optic networks, when required.
- Responsible for coordinate with Cyber Security experts and implement cyber-Security compliant solution for the project
- Cybersecurity Architecture definition and requirement allocation
- Cascading of requirement to suppliers, Manage Third Parties Risks,
- Application of Cybersecurity Assurance Level
- Definition of Cybersecurity Operating Procedures
- Evaluation of the Project achieved Cybersecurity level
- Responsible for writing specifications, clause by clause and identify gaps.
- Responsible for writing and modifying calculation notes , PLC& IED software programming .
- Lead development activities within the engineering department and cooperate with internal departments.
- Ensure the implementation of the projects according to the design for quality standards.
- Propose product improvements in terms of performance and reliability solutions.
- Identifying and manage the interfaces required between POS Automation sub system and other sub systems.
- Performing the transverse requirement allocations to the various subsystems in close collaboration with the relevant specialists,
- Performing requirement development, coming from reference and applicable documents from Metiers, Standards, Certification, Safety, Platform and Customer
- Defining the Automation architecture, operational modes and functionalities taking as input the external/internal requirements, Writing sub-system specification and architecture description in collaboration with the SCADA.
- Provide method statements, testing procedure, trainings as per the project requirements
- Writes the Technical Purchasing Specification.
- Evaluate the supplier offer and documents, define the standards and requirements to the supplier, attained the evaluate the factory acceptance test and coordinate and manage the supplier
- Drives technical relationships with suppliers with close management of QCD commitments, risks & validation, participate in design review.
- Responsible for V&V activities like Defining and performing verification strategy in close collaboration with all Engineering metiers, Certification & Validation
- Responsible for: Technical open issues resolution at site, from investigation to modification implementation and problem closure,
- Responsible to Manage the Site PLC testing and commissioning, I/o signals testing and support the site T&C team
- Responsible for: Performing reporting at project level (KPI) and metier level (via weekly reports)
- Supporting PrEM for implementation and update of Engineering risks mitigation plan, change order process and QCD optimisation
- Providing Return of experience to be implemented in Reference Solutions
- Automation Leader and is in charge of making sure that the installed automation equipment is tested in conformity with the test plan and procedures, in compliance with the contractual obligations, the QA/QC system and the Time Schedule in place and forecasted cost.
- Implement by himself at site tests and commissioning and de-bugging for the automation system of Power supply scope
- Coordination with Sourcing and Supply Chain & with the Contract departments.
- Manage and organize the site testing activity, The operating instructions and the quality requirements & project automation milestones.
Job Requirements
Educational Requirements & Desired Knowledge / Experience
- Bachelor of Engineering in /Electrical/Electronics/communication
- Experience (5-8 years) in Automation field (Railway segment is preferred)
- Strong Knowledge in PLC, SCADA and HMI
- Strong knowledge in electrical circuits and schematics drawings
- Experience with direct responsibility for hands on architecture, design, development
- Familiar with Automation products in different manufactures portfolio (Schneider electric, ABB, GE,…..)
- Good knowledge in IEC, EN, BS, NF, NFPA standards
- Good knowledge in Power and traction substations and Railway Emergency Cut-off functions.
- Good knowledge in railway Communication networks and implement latest standards and technologies, such as IEC 61850, HSR, PRP
- Experience related to Cybersecurity in general, deployment experience of security technologies.
- Knowledge of main Cybersecurity standards and regulations, such as: ISO 2700X, 62443, NIST, NIS
- Fluent in English, Arabic and French language will be an added advantage
Technical Skills & Competencies
- Experience in Automation Railway Applications
- Experience in Network management and switches configuration for Fibre optic network (switches brands: Moxa, Schneider electric and Phoenix contact)
- Experience in Schneider Electric PLC and HMI hardware (M340, M580, Magelis HMI)
- Experience in Schneider Electric PLC and HMI Software (Unity Pro, Vijeo designer)
- Experience in IEC61850 & various communication protocols.
- Experience in Cyber Security for substation Automation
- Familiar to read Electrical schematics
