Senior Quality Control Engineer - Software Tester

• This position contributes closely to software development process. Main Duty is to apply software testing activities needed to inspect the system under test and give quality related information. Responsible for understanding the requirements and create test cases accordingly.
• Works on all aspects of software testing preparation and execution, from manual to automated test, improves product quality and delivery, planning, creation, and execution of testing activities. Reviews system and business requirements and responsible for creating test cases accordingly and run needed functional, non-functional, integration, or user acceptance testing for all systems and APIs.
• Follows the test plan created by team leader. Performs test execution activities either manual or automated. Writes effective and complex test scripts. Collects test data.
• Detects defects and creates informative bug reports and effectively follow up on bug closure. Follows the test plan created by team leader and might be asked to help creating it

• Responsible for performing performance and load tests in addition to reporting the findings. Senior software quality Engineer has a high-level system knowledge acumen and full awareness of testing tools, techniques and practices used and adopted by Software Quality Team.

Responsibility

• Create, maintain, and execute system tests – both manually and automated, and prepare test cases, test data, test conditions, and automated test script. Run functional, system and regression tests.
• Detect defects and create informative bug reports and effectively follow up on bug closure. Reports to management and leaders.
• Perform Load/performance testing related activities.
• Review Requirements and identify risks
• Participate in design activity with other programmers and user experience designers on technical aspects relating to testing, including functional specifications, design parameters, feature enhancements, and alternative solutions
• Support and help training other team members.
