Job Description
- Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial planning activities.
- Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce financial reports or statements as required.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Maintain compliance with local, national, and international financial regulations and standards.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounting function.
- Collaborate with project managers and other departments to ensure proper cost allocation and financial tracking for ongoing projects.
- Prepare tax returns and ensure timely submission in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 4-6 years of proven experience in accounting, preferably within the construction or contracting industry.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Demonstrated integrity and ethical standards in handling confidential financial information.
- Experience working in an office-based, full-time, and long-term role.
