Job Description
Curriculum Development:
- Design and develop a comprehensive robotics curriculum for students in grades 1 to 12, aligning with educational standards and learning objectives.
- Incorporate innovative teaching methodologies, hands-on activities, and real-world applications to enhance student learning and engagement.
- Continuously review and update curriculum content to ensure relevance and effectiveness in meeting the evolving needs of students and industry trends.
Instructor Training and Development:
- Provide training and professional development opportunities for instructors to enhance their pedagogical skills, subject knowledge, and classroom management techniques.
- Conduct regular workshops, seminars, and coaching sessions to support instructors in delivering effective robotics instruction and fostering a dynamic learning environment.
- Collaborate with instructors to identify areas for improvement and develop personalized professional growth plans to support their career development.
Quality Assurance and Monitoring:
- Implement quality assurance measures to evaluate the effectiveness of curriculum implementation and instructional practices.
- Conduct regular classroom observations and evaluations to assess instructor performance and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
- Analyze student performance data and instructional outcomes to identify areas of strength and areas for improvement in curriculum delivery and teaching strategies.
- Establish KPIs for program effectiveness” and “report regularly to leadership on progress and improvements.
Hands-on Teaching:
- Occasionally Lead robotics classes and workshops as needed to demonstrate teaching techniques and engage with students.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, answering student questions and providing guidance on robotics projects.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages experimentation and innovation.
Educational Leadership and Collaboration:
- Serve as a subject matter expert and resource person for robotics education within the organization and the broader educational community.
- Collaborate with other departments, including academic leadership, marketing, and operations, to ensure alignment of curriculum and instructional goals with organizational objectives.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends, research, and best practices in robotics education and learning and development to inform curriculum design and instructional strategies.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics or a related field.
- Minimum of +4 years of experience in curriculum development and instructional design, with a focus on STEAM education and robotics.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing innovative educational programs that engage students and promote active learning.
- Experience in delivering engaging sessions to students, with demonstrated expertise in classroom management and student engagement strategies.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to students of varying ages and skill levels.
- Experience in training and coaching educators, conducting assessments, and utilizing data-driven decision-making to improve teaching and learning.
- Passion for education, technology, and empowering students to become critical thinkers, problem solvers, and lifelong learners.
- Proficiency in the English language, both spoken and written, with the ability to write concept notes and proposals effectively.
Certificates (Preferred):
- Instructional Design Certification
- Leadership & Management in Education.
- STEM/STEAM Education Accreditation
- Train the Trainer (TTT) or equivalent.
