Job Description

• Supervise the receipt, handling, verification, storage, and distribution of plasma to ensure compliance, safety, and conformance to procedures as specified by Standard Operating Procedures, cGMP's, and OSHA standards

 • Assure that each plasma shipment, production unit, and lot meets all applicable quality, storage, and production requirements and ensure that each plasma lot is delivered in a timely manner to appropriate customers. 

• Assure that each individual unit of plasma that is deemed unacceptable for further processing is individually removed, accounted for, and ultimately dispositioned according to documented procedures.

 • Interview, hire, train, and directly supervise non-exempt employees in the Plasma Operations group. Monitor performance, employee relations, and quality standards to ensure effective work team performance is maintained. 

• Develop and maintain departmental SOP's in accordance with regulatory agency and company requirements. Ensure procedures accurately reflect the processes that are currently being performed

 • Coordinate and provide oversight to all inventory transactions relating to the storage and movement of raw plasma. Maintain inventory accuracy levels at agreed upon targets. 

• Partner with a wide variety of internal and external customers including manufacturing, freight carriers, quality operations, and numerous other groups on a variety of issues. 

• Work closely with Quality Operations group

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in one of the sciences, business administration, engineering, or some other related field.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, materials inventory planning, or distribution (preferably relating to lab or blood banks) is required for this level. 

• Working knowledge of manufacturing processes related to lab or blood products, inventory controls, and strong knowledge of cGMP's and other regulatory requirements.

• Excellent in all Microsoft Office applications • Experience in ERP systems
