Job Description
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of PHP developers, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical leadership to ensure successful project delivery.
- Project Planning and Execution: Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and timelines. Develop project plans and allocate resources effectively to meet project goals.
- Software Development: Design, develop, and maintain PHP-based applications, ensuring adherence to coding standards, best practices, and system requirements.
- Code Reviews: Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to established coding guidelines. Provide constructive feedback to team members for continuous improvement.
- Technical Architecture: Collaborate with architects and technical teams to define the technical architecture of PHP applications, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
- Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve complex technical issues and bugs in PHP applications. Perform root cause analysis and implement appropriate solutions.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with QA engineers to define testing strategies and ensure thorough testing of PHP applications for functional and non-functional requirements.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, API specifications, and developer guides.
- Collaboration and Communication: Foster effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, including designers, front-end developers, and database administrators, to ensure seamless integration and delivery of PHP solutions.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement, tool enhancements, and development methodologies. Stay updated with the latest PHP trends, frameworks, and best practices, and apply them to improve the team's efficiency and effectiveness.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in PHP development, including at least 2 years in a leadership or lead developer role.
- PHP Expertise: Strong proficiency in PHP programming language and its frameworks such as Laravel.
- Database Knowledge: Solid understanding of database concepts and experience with relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
- Software Development Lifecycle: Experience with the entire software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, delegate tasks, and manage priorities to meet project deadlines.
