Job Description
"Formulate tax strategies to minimize corporate tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
"Oversee the preparation and timely filing of various tax returns, including VAT, corporate tax, and withholding taxes.
"Coordinate with external tax auditors during tax audits, ensuring smooth communication and providing required documentation.
"Provide accurate and timely tax reports to senior management, identifying tax risks, liabilities, and opportunities for savings.
"Collaborate with internal finance departments (Financial Reporting, Accounts Payable, and Budgeting) to ensure tax compliance across all financial records.
"Assist with the development of the company’s long-term tax strategy, taking into consideration tax savings, international tax obligations, and regulatory changes.
"Keep abreast of the latest tax laws and advise the organization on changes that could impact tax planning and strategy.
"Mentor and train junior tax accountants to ensure a high level of expertise and accuracy within the tax department.
Job Requirements
Educational Background:
"Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Work Experience:
"3–5 years of experience in tax accounting or a related field.
Technical Competencies
"Advanced knowledge of tax laws, tax compliance, and tax planning strategies (including VAT, corporate tax, and international tax regulations).
"Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
"Experience with tax audits, preparing documentation, and liaising with auditors.
"Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and their impact on tax matters.
