Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Innovation or Methods Engineer to join our dynamic team in the industrial sector. This role focuses on driving internal processes and process improvement for our low and medium voltage switchgear products manufacturing, with a strong emphasis on leveraging programming skills to develop innovative solutions and work on in-house projects. You will play a key role in identifying new technologies, developing solutions that involve programming, and implementing strategies to enhance efficiency.
Job Description:
- Conduct research and analysis to identify emerging trends and technologies relevant to the low and medium voltage switchgear industry, with a particular focus on programming applications and automation.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and workshops to generate creative ideas for process and product improvement, incorporating programming as a potential solution.
- Develop and evaluate new concepts for switchgear products, focusing on enhancing features, functionality, and cost-effectiveness, with an emphasis on integrating programming elements where applicable.
- Conduct feasibility studies and analyze the potential impact of proposed innovations on production processes, product performance, and cost, considering the role of programming in the solution.
- Collaborate internally with cross-functional teams (Technical office, production, IT, IS) to refine and implement innovative solutions that involve programming elements and integration of new software programs
- Coordinate externally with service and software providers to ensure a smooth implementation and integration with current operating procedures.
- Write and test code to prototype and implement new ideas and concepts related to switchgear improvements.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations to document findings and recommendations, highlighting the role of programming in the solution.
- Continuously monitor the effectiveness of implemented projects and suggest further improvements, considering the potential for further programming applications.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field.
- Prior knowledge of Python programming language.
- 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering related. (Fresh graduates are also encourage to apply meeting the requirements).
- Fluency in written and spoken English is required as this role involves collaborating with international teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to think creatively and generate innovative solutions, incorporating programming where applicable.
- Excellent communication with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
- Proficient in technical writing and presentation skills.
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and switchgear operation.
