Job Description
JOB PURPOSE
Supervise and Carry out Fixed Network Operation & Maintenance activities:
- Traffic (Provision, Cessations, Re-routing).
- Network failures due to traffic & Hardware.
- Network Planned outages/hazardous.
- Preventive Maintenance
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Field maintenance of Core Network including mobile core and transmission etc.
- Carries out simple and routine provision/maintenance & fault rectification tasks.
- Attends assigned major/non-routine tasks with minimal supervision.
- Able to carry out Acceptance Tests for Core and Access Network elements in compliance with Etisalat installation & acceptance standard.
- To be able to use various types of test equipment to localize & rectify faults. In addition to routine tests.
- Provide support for maintenance activities including stores issue, spares, tools and equipment.
- Clears complicated faults reported by NOC’s etc. and reports the major faults to superiors.
- Attends call-out & emergency in addition to normal duties.
- Maintain site quality and performs periodic preventive maintenance as per schedule.
- Update knowledge and skills relates to new technologies.
- Attends planned/hazardous & outages related to Core, Access & Fiber networks.
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s/ Diploma Degree in Engineering/ Telecommunications/ Electrical Engineering or equivalent
3-5 years’ experience in field operation and maintenance of Telecom networks (Transport, IP Switching, Mobile) networks
Experience in Nokia equipment is a must.
