About the Job

 

The Payroll Manager candidate we are looking for to fulfill this role will have experience in conducting and leading payroll activities, and be part of a fast-growing business in Egypt. In addition, having some experience with some accounting functions would be an asset for the role. 

 

As Payroll Manager, You Will…

  • Ensure timely and accurate data entry of payroll information into the payroll system, including employee details, timesheets, and attendance records, to maintain precise payroll records
  • Verify the Payroll Reports in terms of employee salaries, benefits, and deductions in accordance with company policies, employment contracts, and legal regulations, and ensure controls are maintained
  • Work with other departments to ensure that payroll inputs (ex. time reporting) are complete and accurate prior to processing
  • Understand queries from employees and respond promptly to employee inquiries and concerns regarding their payroll
  • Generate payroll reports, such as payroll summaries, tax reports, and labor cost analyses
  • Assist in payroll tax calculations, deductions, and submissions to ensure compliance
  • Conduct regular audits and verifications of payroll data to identify and rectify any inaccuracies and discrepancies
  • Track and update leave / PTO records
  • Stay up to date with the latest payroll regulations, tax laws, and labor standards
  • Ensure timely closure of Final Settlements for separated employees from the organization, which includes Voluntary and Involuntary
  • Ensure compliance around submission of Statutory Declaration Forms like Social Securities etc & filings are on time
  • Maintain office services by organizing office operations and procedures, controlling correspondence, designing filing systems, reviewing and approving supply requisitions, and assigning and monitoring clerical functions
  • Coordinate and work with accounting team for operational and reporting requirements or requests

 

In addition to payroll, some accounting functions will be required of the role, which may include the following responsibilities:

  • Assist the accounting team with completing day-to-day and period-end accounting functions. These may include, but are not limited to:
  • Create and post journal entries
  • Create and monitor required accounting accruals
  • Vendor evaluation and management
  • Process accounts payable which includes invoice processing, invoice approvals, vendor maintenance, payment processing, etc. 
  • Complete various period-end reconciliations
  • Monitor cash balances
  • Ensure various tax (withholding, VAT) remittances are tracked and performed
  • Ensure IntouchCX Finance policies and procedures are maintained 
  • Maintain adequate record keeping in relation to statutory requirements
  • Meet finance deliverables and deadlines in relation to reporting

 

Job Requirements

As Payroll Manager, You Have…

  • A University and/or College Degree / diploma
  • Three to five years experience in a role with similar payroll and / or accounting tasks as noted above
  • Effective verbal communication skills with the ability to provide clear and concise information to internal and external stakeholders and vendors
  • Excellent organizational & time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact and maintain good working relationships internal and external stakeholders and vendors
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience using Google Workspace (G Suite) is an asset
