Job Description
- Supporting the management for selecting suitable contractor companies from a safety point of view.
- Conducting the required safety awareness for the supervisors, managers, and workers of contractor to ensure that all the people received the full information about the safety rules and company policy.
- Schedule and perform regular inspections, audits, and site walk-throughs.
- Lead any contractor meetings related to EHS progress
- Reviewing and validating the projects method statements and risk assessment studies with the concerned people.
- Collation of project related EHS statistics & data such as (PTW – Safety violation – Training hrs. – Incidents) etc. and introducing for concerned people in professional manner.
- Regularly review and be familiar with all applicable legislation and applicable standards, to ensure compliance.
- Assist and support Incident Owners with investigations, Reporting, Root Cause Analysis, managing effective corrective actions and communicating lessons learned.
- Coordinate and following up with service provider of firefighting maintenance company for monthly plan activities.
- Patrolling the site regularly and check the Fire alarm system & firefighting system
- Supervise the maintenance of fire protection systems and others safety systems maintenance as per NFPA codes.
- Conducting fire drills and other simulated emergencies.
- Provide support to the department on the implementation of Company-wide EHS initiatives e.g., ISO14001, ISO 45001, etc and upgrading the specs if any.
- Complying with the risk prevention requirements and preparing the documentations and actions needed for such standards.
- Communicate with the Civil Defense in providing all requirements for certificate renewal
- accurate, up-to-date, and complete records for HSE-related activities KPIs
- Support in WCM IRP pillar and sustainability projects
- Responsible for implementing the emergency plan in the factory and training the employees on it
- Responsible for improving the performance and awareness of workers in occupational safety and health by (Safety induction for new comers, regular safety talk – OPL- KPS-SOP)
Job Requirements
- A bachelor's degree with technical background.
- Very good command of English language
- Safety Specialist (NIOSH), OSHA is necessary.
- Good knowledge of data analysis, computer skills and risk assessment
- Good knowledge of risk prevention, NFPA and firefighting standards
- Knowledge of safety laws & Safety legal codes
- Excellent organizational and motivational skills.
- Ability to manage and control all types of health and safety issues in construction projects.
