Job Description
- Develop detailed structural designs for a variety of building and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Perform structural analysis using advanced engineering software and manual calculations to validate design integrity and safety.
- Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for construction and permitting purposes.
- Collaborate closely with architects, project managers, and other engineering disciplines to deliver integrated project solutions.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to assess existing structures, monitor construction progress, and resolve technical issues as they arise.
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals, cost estimates, and schedules to support business development efforts.
- Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and contractor queries to ensure design intent is maintained during construction.
- Participate in value engineering and constructability reviews to optimize project outcomes and reduce costs.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, materials, and technologies to enhance design efficiency and innovation.
- Ensure all work adheres to AEC’s quality assurance protocols and safety standards.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field.
- 2-5 years of proven experience in structural design engineering roles.
- Strong proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, or similar.
- Solid understanding of international and local building codes and standards.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities, with experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced office environment.
- Experience conducting site visits and resolving construction-related issues.
