Job Description

The Technical Sales Engineer is responsible for driving sales of ready-mix concrete products and solutions to construction companies, contractors, and other clients. This role requires a strong technical understanding of concrete technology, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to build and maintain customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales & Business Development:
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the construction industry.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
    • Prepare and deliver technical presentations and proposals.
    • Negotiate contracts and close deals.
    • Achieve sales targets and contribute to revenue growth.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Provide technical advice and support to customers on concrete mix designs, applications, and performance.
    • Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and recommend suitable concrete solutions.
    • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., production, quality control) to ensure customer satisfaction.
    • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, new technologies, and competitive offerings.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in the construction industry.
    • Provide excellent customer service and address customer inquiries promptly.
    • Resolve customer complaints and issues effectively.
    • Develop and implement customer retention strategies.
  • Market Analysis:
    • Analyze market trends and competitor activities.
    • Identify potential market segments and develop targeted sales strategies.
    • Gather market intelligence and provide feedback to the sales and marketing teams.
  • Reporting & Administration:
    • Prepare sales reports and forecasts.
    • Maintain accurate customer records and sales data.
    • Manage sales expenses and budgets.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • Proven experience in technical sales and in the ready-mix concrete industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of concrete technology, mix designs, and applications.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
