Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Arabic & Qur’an Teacher to join our nursery team. The ideal candidate will introduce young children (ages 1.5–4) to the Arabic language and basic Qur’anic recitation in a nurturing, engaging, and age-appropriate manner. This role requires a strong background in early childhood education, Islamic studies, and a genuine love for working with young children.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach basic Arabic letters, words, and phrases through songs, play, and interactive activities.
- Introduce children to short Surahs from the Qur’an (e.g., Juz ‘Amma) with correct pronunciation and tajweed.
- Foster a love for the Arabic language and the Qur’an through creative, engaging teaching methods.
- Maintain a calm, respectful, and Islamic learning environment.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support each child’s learning journey.
- Monitor and report on children’s progress to parents and management.
- Prepare age-appropriate lesson plans and teaching materials.
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and participate in school events.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience teaching Arabic and/or Qur’an to young children.
- Strong recitation skills with correct tajweed.
- Good command of Modern Standard Arabic (MSA); basic English communication skills preferred.
- A warm, patient, and child-friendly personality.
- Familiarity with age-appropriate teaching techniques and early childhood development.
- Ability to use play-based and sensory activities to teach Arabic and Qur’an.
- Diploma or certification in Early Childhood Education, Islamic Studies, or a related field is preferred (not mandatory).
