Job Description
- Maintain general ledger accuracy and ensure timely financial closing in compliance with standards.
- General Ledger Management
- Oversee and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate recording and classification of financial transactions.
- Perform complex account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, intercompany accounts, and balance sheet accounts.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in the general ledger promptly.
- Financial Reporting
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local accounting standards.
- Support the Financial Controller in preparing reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial data for audits and regulatory requirements.
- Month-End & Year-End Close
- Lead and execute month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
- Coordinate with other finance team members to ensure all deadlines are met.
- Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline general ledger processes and implement best practices.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and software to enhance efficiency.
- Compliance & Internal Controls
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and explanations.
- Team Collaboration
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior accountants or other finance staff as needed.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to support financial operations and reporting needs.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred, Ex audit firm is highly recommended.
- 5-7 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2-3 years focused on general ledger accounting.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting requirements.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Odoo) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
