Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the follow-up of a fleet of equipment as defined by the Engineering Department.
  • To keep all terminal equipment (STS cranes, RTG cranes, reach stacker, empty handler, Terminal Trucks), with different working systems, on service.
  • To create job plans & procedures in Maximo to simplify and standardize the job execution.
  • To create PM for new equipment in the system & implement preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • To support in-house engineering teams and subcontractors as regards to the planning of maintenance activities and provide ongoing training and expertise as and when necessary.

  • Update specifications of inventory when and where required and coordinate with Purchasing Department to ensure minimum stock level.
  • To carry out exhaustive exercises on the Inventory to review and ensure that strategic parts are held in stores in readiness for when required.
  • To ensure that Subcontractors’ work on the equipment is carried out as per requirement and contract regarding quality, period and costs.
  • Measuring the performance of components, devices, and electric motors, and implementing maintenance routines and required repairs when necessary.

 

 

Job Requirements

Qualifications: 

  • B.S degree in Engineering Electrical, electromechanical, electronics or similar.
  • 3-5 years of experience minimum in electronical circuits, automatism systems, transformers, busbar systems, medium voltage networks (PLC, drive systems, medium and high voltage power…) in a container operation environment, or similar, related industry.
  • Observation of all safety and health requirements for container terminal environment.
  • Risk Management & Crises Management.
  • Accident incident investigation & root cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of container handling equipment, specifical ship -to- shore cranes, straddle carriers and reach stackers, Forklift, RTG & terminal trucks.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of technical/functional aspects of work.
  • Knowledge of CMMS
  • Moderate level of management control skills (plan, lead. organize and control)
  • Process Management—ability to simplify complex processes and organize people and activities.
  • Awareness and ability to work with constant care.
  • Requires an advanced level of verbal and written communication skills in English.
