Job Description
- Develop and maintain detailed 3D electrical models using Revit and AutoCAD MEP.
- Coordinate with other disciplines (Mechanical, Structural, Architectural) to detect and resolve clashes using Navisworks.
- Prepare electrical BIM drawings, layouts, and construction documentation.
- Support electrical design team with modeling of power, lighting, fire alarm, and low voltage systems.
- Ensure adherence to company BIM standards and project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).
- Participate in model coordination meetings and communicate design issues and resolutions.
- Update and maintain BIM content libraries and families for electrical components.
- Collaborate with site teams to reflect as-built conditions and support shop drawing preparation.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in MEP BIM modeling, with a focus on electrical systems.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and Navisworks Manage.
- Knowledge of electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC).
- Strong understanding of BIM workflows, LOD (Level of Development), and clash detection processes.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical design drawings and schematics.
- Experience with cloud-based collaboration tools (e.g., BIM 360) is a plus.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
