Job Description
We are seeking a highly-skilled technical lead with a storied history in the
technological sector. Making executive technology decisions on behalf of the company, including
managing a technology budget and making investments to align the company with its
vision for its technological needs are the main requirements we are looking for in the
winning candidate. You should be a strategic thinker, an effective communicator, and an expert in
technological development.
Responsibilities:
- Setting a vision for how new technologies will be used in the company.
- Ensuring that technological resources meet the company's short and long-term
needs. - Creating timelines for the development and deployment of all technological
services. - Making executive decisions on behalf of the company's technological
requirements. - Oversee all mobile and web development to develop and maintain high-quality
products and ensure projects and services satisfy needs and quality standards. - Prepare cost and resource estimates including staffing requirements, cloud
computing infrastructure, monitor projects/products lifecycle to ensure they
are delivered within cost and schedule commitments. - Collaborate with the marketing, operations, and sales teams for features
definition and prioritization to launch products on time while meeting the
business goals. - Maintaining a consumer-focused outlook and aiding in the delivery of Software
projects to market. - Staying on top of technology trends and developments.
- Ensuring all technology practices adhere to regulatory standards.
- Keep workforce motivated through coaching, mentoring and fostering
innovative ideas that add value. - Hire, manage, and develop a team of high-performing engineers to maintain a
competent workforce.
Job Requirements
- Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in software development including leading a team and
a project workstream. - Engineering practice experience such as code refactoring, design patterns, design-driven development, continuous integration, building highly scalable applications, application security, secure coding practice.
- Wide knowledge of web technologies and services including Microsoft Tech
Stack and Open-Source tools - Expert in mobile development is a plus.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully understanding the business
requirements and designing realistic and effective solutions. - Knowledge of Agile software development process.
- Knowledge of agile testing approaches such as unit, integration and end-to-end testing.
- Good working knowledge of at least one cloud-based hosting platform such as
AWS, Azure, Google Cloud. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively with
people at all levels in an organization. - Skills to communicate complex ideas effectively.
