Job Description
- Model and promote the positive, inclusive culture of the Teachers Support Department.
- Design the teacher support program and coaching activities based on the teacher's needs and in light of n school policies and procedures
- Design key performance indicators and coaching tools to be used in offering technical and pedagogy support for teachers and trainers
- Conduct observation visits in coordination with the school management team to monitor the teacher’s performance and offer the needed support
- Develop monthly plans and reports about the teacher's performance highlighting the x progress and the areas that need improvement
- Work closely with the Curriculum development team to ensure that the teacher guide is developed in a user-friendly and effective manner
- Offer support to Teachers to promote positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and outside agencies.
- Coordinate and lead meetings, on an individual basis, with teachers, school management and parents to provide feedback on student progress/achievement
- Utilize own strengths and areas of specialist expertise to advise and support teachers and other school staff in specialist areas.
- Support the provision of extracurricular activities within guidelines established by the school.
- Contribute to the identification and execution of appropriate extracurricular activities that consolidate and extend work carried out in class.
- Manage and supervise the work of Teaching Assistants and hold team meetings as appropriate.
- Manage and supervise the Teacher recruitment process
- Maintain the confidential nature of issues related to curriculum, teacher and schoolwork
- To ensure appropriate induction arrangements for new teachers
Job Requirements
Minimum academic and professional qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in education or any relevant discipline – Master degree in pedagogy is highly recommended
Experience:
- 15 - 20 years of experience in teaching and capacity building
Technical Specifications:
- Good Pedagogical knowledge and skills
- In-depth understanding of competency-based curriculum and teaching approach
- In-depth understanding of teaching methodologies and classroom management techniques
- In-depth understanding of creating assessment tools and generating question bank
- In-depth understanding of the TVET sector and labor market trends at national and international levels.
- Good knowledge of international qualifications and Accreditation requirements
Essential Skills
- Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English
- Excellent training, communications, and coaching skills
- Planning, organization, time management, and coordination
- Proficiency in MS Office Ability
