Manager Debt Restructuring

Job DescriptionLiaise with CBG/BBG/SEM to take over relationship upon MCC/EC to transfer relations to SAM.Gather all relevant facts, test all previous assumptions and consider all situations from a new perspective.Analyses and evaluates distressed debt situations and identifies key value drivers, cash generating capacity and do SWAT analyses to develop and implement effective debt restructuring solutions.Profit and Loss responsibility for assigned debt portfolios.Evaluates key risks (Business, Financial, structural and Reputational) and provides alternative solutions.Conduct site visit to clients, understanding their business and issues, and preparing factual call reports.Negotiating restructuring deals with customers to agree on a specific repair or exit plan.Recommending to MCC/EC restructuring proposals incorporating Dr’s proposed remediation strategy for the impaired relationships.Maximize profitability from all relationship under management and allocate all income back to eh business unit from which they are transferred.Fix problems and return relationships as soon as possible back to RM control or if this is not possible pass them on to recoveries for legal action.Proposing the provisioning requirement for allocated SAM relationships.For some NPL cases and upon CRM request, DR’s RMs will continue managing a relationship while in parallel recoveries begin legal action against the customer.When requested, to support the business and help negotiate restructuring to achieve good outcomes for the Bank. DR will not take management control of such relationship or undermine the RM’s authority.SkillsBachelor degree in Finance, Business Administration or Accounting7+ years of experience in Debt Recovery Management related lending or workout experience preferred and/or related field preferably in Accounting/Budgeting.Understanding of secured and unsecured lending practices, documentation and legal requirements.Analytical and accounting skills to include the ability to analyze personal and business financial statementsGood interpersonal skills to manage, influence discussions with other internal departmentsAbility to identify, establish the integrity of data and make appropriate recommendationsPreparation of budgets and forecasts with detailed understanding of budgetary treatment of various categories of revenues and expensesCapable of defining information access interfaces with other departmentsAbility to communicate in English (written and verbal).Capable of creating intricate spreadsheets to perform complex analysisKnowledge of accounting, processing, reporting and budgetingExperience/competence in report preparation
