Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:


  • Combines public relations and social media management skills to architect and enhance company PR and social media presence. This includes interacting with media and customers, promoting brand-focused interactive and engaging content, and expanding revenue opportunities. Works with marketing team members to create innovative PR and social media campaigns.

KEY RESULTS/ACCOUNTABILITIES EXPECTED FROM THE ROLE:


  • Develop a PR communications plan that includes strategy, goals, budget, and tactics.
  • Plan and budget for PR events, programs, and initiatives.
  • Develop and implement PR policies and procedures.
  • Develop media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast, and online media.
  • Coordinate all public relations activities.
  • Create content for press releases, byline articles, and keynote presentations by researching, writing, and distributing press releases to targeted media.
  • Manage media inquiries and interview requests, answering enquiries from media, individuals, and other organizations.
  • Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within the business and media industry.
  • Monitor, analyze and communicate PR results monthly.
  • Organizing events, including press conferences, exhibitions, open days, and press tours.
  • Fostering community relations through CSR and involvement in community initiatives.
  • Monitor corporate image frequently and ensure it complies with the company.
  • Evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships, and advertising on an ongoing basis.
  • Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting customers and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them.
  • Develop and implement crisis communications advice and media strategy as needed.
  • Liaison with PR agency on a day-to-day basis.
  • Writing and editing in-house magazines, case studies, speeches, articles, and reports.
  • Preparing and supervising the production of publicity brochures, handouts, direct mail leaflets, promotional videos, photographs, films, and multimedia programs.
  • Devising and coordinating photo opportunities.
  • Grows and expands company social media presence into new social media platforms, plus increases presence on existing platforms, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram.
  • Direct social media agencies to engage audiences across traditional and new media.
  • Check and manage content produced for websites and social media channels.
  • Design and review the online content in media announcements and media kits.
  • Ensures brand consistency in marketing and social media messages by working with various company departments, including sales, product development, and Service.
  • Measure and report the performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs).
  • Identify trends and insights and optimize spend and performance based on the insights.
  • Provides training and guidance to partners, distributors, and marketing team members on best practices and strategies for social media implementation.
  • Manage community on all social platforms, coordinate with inter-departments and distributors, and ensure customer complaints and issues are channeled to the concerned department. Follow up on progress/ actions and report to management regularly.
  • Collects customer data, analyses interactions and visits, and uses this information to create comprehensive reports and improve future marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Assist in designing and reviewing a variety of promotional and marketing materials.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND CHARACTERISTICS:


  • Degree in Communications or Marketing.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with an automotive brand in the GCC or agency experience handling automotive clients is a must.
  • Proven working experience in public relations is required.
  • Proven track record of designing and executing successful public relations campaigns at both a local and regional level.
  • Strong relationships with both local and regional media outlets.
  • Proven record of successful implementation of Social Media Account Management, Content Creation, Copywriting, Digital Marketing Strategy, Data Collection and Analysis.
  • Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills in English and Arabic.
  • Aptitude in presentation and public speaking.
  • Attention to Detail, Self-Motivated, Creative Problem-Solving Skills.
